Pricing

$5 is the ceiling, not the price.

One flat maximum for every one of the 206 tasks. Charged only at acceptance. Often less. Never more.

The rules

  • Every task is $5 maximum — no packages, no tiers, no rush fees
  • You're charged only when you accept the delivery
  • Reject entirely and you're refunded down to raw compute — typically cents
  • Allow your output as a public gallery sample and the price drops at checkout, sometimes by several dollars
  • Plain credit card or Apple Pay — no subscription, nothing recurring

Why we print the compute cost

fivedollars.ai runs on our own TrustedRouter rails — we own the infrastructure the work runs on. So every receipt prints the raw compute cost next to what you paid. You can see exactly what the electricity cost and exactly what our margin was. We'd rather show you the math than have you wonder.

Where the market figures come from

Every task page shows what that job typically costs elsewhere — a low, a high, and a typical figure. Those numbers come from published marketplace cost guides and 2026 freelance-pricing studies, refreshed as the studies are. They're context, not a competitor takedown: the point is that the floor for hiring out small digital work drifted to $25–$75, and we put it back at $5.

Waitlist perk

Your first task is $1 if you join the waitlist before launch. Same guarantee, same bake-off, one dollar.
